Catch a theme while it is still small, find out where it started, and know which markets it will reach next. Clayface picks up new topics across video, comments, forums and reviews, then follows each one until it either spreads or dies.

See which topics people are talking about more this month than last, ranked by how fast each one is growing. New themes are listed separately from the ones that have been around for years.
See which platform a theme first appeared on, which creators posted it in the first two weeks, and which platform it jumped to after that. Most trends move between channels in a pattern you can plan around.
See where a theme is already peaking and where it has barely started. A trend at its height in one market is often months away from another, which tells you where to move first.

“We picked up a material coming into customer conversation months before it reached our category properly. That gave us time to build something around it instead of catching up.”
“What used to be a trend report once a quarter now sits in front of us every week. Two of the themes in this year's plan came straight out of it.”
“Knowing which platform a trend started on changed where we put our media. Clayface showed us it was moving out of one channel and into ours.”

Trend analysis means watching what people talk about over time and working out which topics are growing, which are fading and which are about to matter. For a consumer brand it covers products, materials, features and the words customers use, not just hashtags.
Clayface compares what people said last month with what they are saying now, across video, comments, forums and reviews. Topics that were rare and are becoming common get flagged while the numbers are still small, which is the point at which you can still act on them.
Look where the conversation starts rather than where it ends up. Most trends begin in comments, forum threads and small creator videos, and only reach mainstream coverage weeks later. Watching those sources is what buys you the head start.
Count the people, the platforms and the days. A spike is usually one creator on one platform and it is over in a fortnight. A trend spreads to new people and new platforms and keeps growing for longer than a month.
More than 25 social platforms, plus marketplace and retailer listings, owner forums and reviews on brand websites. Video is analysed as well as text, so a material or feature named out loud in a video counts even when nobody typed it.
